So the last 2 weeks has been big in the way of training. im back lifting and chasing strength gains in the gym pain free. I've been feeling good on the bike with some solid gate and track sessions going down at horse power hour in chula vista on Tuesdays with every gate being pretty much an elite men main with about 12 of us down there every session.
Gym has been progressing well session by session with taking a lot more caution weight wise than normal and moving up percentage by percentage slowly and starting to get back to the numbers I pushed 5 months ago. Definitely pumped to be couch ridden for the day today watching movies as my legs are completely dead!
A big thing ive noticed over the last few races that I have lacked is skills through certain parts of the track so ive been making trails a regular. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you would have seen some of the spots I've been checking out in south California all within 15mins drive to where I'm living.
I've been pretty lucky to be based where I am and laying down some runs through dirt sets with some pretty talented dudes out there that's for sure and to be able to ride the best trails I've ever ridden by a long shot! ridding this stuff has reminded me why I picked up my bike when I was 16 and why I ride my bike day in day out! fun!
Other than the routine of training, trails, stretching, recovery and all that jazz not to much has been going down outside of that. Been catching up with a few buddy's out here and bbqs and stuff but keeping it pretty stock.
I've got Disney cup coming up this weekend over on the east coast in Orlando, Florida which im super pumped to head out and race. My consistency of times in the yard have picked up, also backed up with the skills starting to get back in the bank out on the track.
